For As Long As We Both Shall Live

On February 12th, 2022, in the gorgeous English chapel ruins of St. Dunstan in the East Church Garden, Myles and I renewed our marriage vows. We wrote sweet letters to redeclare our love and commitment to one another. We promised to receive every day we have together as a gift from God, who is drawing us near and holding us close in all of this with an eternal, infinite love that only He can provide.

No doubt, these past few months have by far been the hardest we have ever experienced. But it’s during times when love gets tested that it grows stronger, bolder, and more precious than ever before. Our God has not forsaken us. He is right here in the midst of our suffering, giving us abundant peace and love when we feel our well run dry. Our God holds our victory. He has already won. Our God will heal and restore. One day, He will gather us together to be with Him in paradise forever, and we will never have to suffer again. That’s the God we serve. That’s the love we share. That’s the hope we cling to.
